Event Monitor Position Opening
Position Description
Open and close the Hall before and after each event. Monitor the renters’ activity for the safety of the Hall and the renters. Represent the Hall, and answer any questions the renters may have. Conduct light cleaning and ensure order before and after each rental. Ensure all parts of the contract are followed by the renters, and remind them of these responsibilities at the beginning of each event. Monitor the renters during their setup and cleanup, and guide them in returning the Hall to an orderly condition. Communicate with the Hall Manager after each rental.
Events occur primarily on weekends. Howard County Crowd Manager certification required; employees compensated for training to obtain certification.
This position commences Fall 2023, and is shared with three other monitors. It is ideal for a college student, retiree, or someone wishing to earn a little extra income. Part-time; average hours per month: 10 - 30. Starting rate is minimum wage; increases based on satisfactory, responsible performance.
