Water - we travel on and through it every day. The Chesapeake Brass Authority invites you to join in a musical celebration of the stuff that covers over 70% of the earth. This free concert will feature several music styles in a brass quintet format.
The Chesapeake Brass Authority, founded in 2018 by mid-Atlantic area musicians, promotes brass quintet music through performance and education. They play a wide variety of styles and periods including classical, Renaissance, jazz, Latin, film and TV scores, and contemporary/pop compositions.
The CBA members collectively have more than 150 years of performing experience: Len Morse and Ryan Petersburg on trumpets, Jamin Morden on horn, Chris Rehagen on trombone, and Jeff Johns on tuba. They each perform in local concert bands, jazz bands, or orchestras, as well as their quintet. They strive to bring depth, musicality, and exuberance to every performance.
