Carroll Baldwin Hall
The Savage 7K is on! Well, sort of.
We thought we were going to have to give up entirely on this year's annual Savage 7K Run and 1-Mile Historic Walk to raise funds for renovations to our historic Baldwin Hall, a 98-year-old Maryland Historic Trust site that still serves as a vibrant community center, but Phil Lang (Bullseye Running) has generously included the Hall in Bullseye Running's Back to School Virtual Challenge!
The school theme is perfect for the Savage 7K, as the route includes 3 current schools--Patuxent Valley Middle School, Bollman Bridge Elementary School, and Bethel Christian Academy--and also runs past the locations of the original Savage elementary schools.
Please consider signing up for this challenge to support Bullseye Running and Baldwin Hall, and if you take any of your challenge runs in Savage you can a) check the box for several schools at once and b) stop by historic Savage Mill to refresh yourself and check out the mill restaurants, shops, and antique centers!
We will have a handout available outside the hall with a map of the 7K route along with information on local businesses and Savage history.
